OUR VISION FOR

ST. LOUIS

I am the People’s Mayor,

and I believe that no matter where in our city you call home, you should have the opportunity and resources to succeed.

progressive means progress,

so that every St. Louisan has more support, safety, and equal access to quality city services.

I believe in showing up for our city

and fighting for our values, whether we need a resolute champion or a passionate defender.

OUR PLATFORM

When I ran for Mayor, I had countless conversations with voters about the challenges St. Louis faces: long-term decline in our economic might, population growth, and in many basic quality-of-life city services. I pledged myself to tackling each and every one of those challenges as Mayor. It isn’t easy to turn around decades of neglect and dysfunction—but it is necessary and crucial work that we have made real progress on:

  • New approaches to public safety have successfully lead to a major drop in crime, including a double-digit decline in our city’s homicide rate.

  • We put protections in place for our residents against dangerous, hateful laws passed by extremists in the Missouri legislature.

  • We directed funding towards new programs to lift up our youth and bring dignified jobs to underserved areas.

  • We are working to rebuild our city government, modernizing processes and exploring new technology to let us serve you with efficiency.

Improvements to public transit, strengthening tenant rights, and common sense gun control policies have also made our people safer, our city more accessible, and our future brighter. We have gotten so much closer to achieving the vision of a thriving St. Louis that we all know is possible.

You and I know that our work is far from over, but we are making true progress. I have always been, and will always be, dedicated to building an equitable and prosperous St. Louis for everyone that calls our city home.
